The Football Coach of Choirs
Res is known as the football coach of choirs with 34 years of experience pulling from his knowledge as an athlete and coach to create a team working cohesively towards the same goal – loving and creating music.
His goal has always been to create experiences going beyond the individual to the collective. Beyond the choir to the world.
Commissioning and premiering works from world class composers and writers is an important part of teaching students to love the art and the artists.
The results are an enduring love for music. Many of his students have become music educators. A few are professional singers including Ben Bliss and JoAnna Geffert.
Choir is for every student. From the star athlete to the student who feels like they don’t belong. Music brings us all together, working towards a common goal, forging unlikely relationships, and creating art for the world. There is always a place to belong in my choirs.Res
